If you wish to repaint your room, you may do so in a day or two. However, if you want to do great at it, you have to take note of important tips in painting a bedroom.

Prepare your room. This can be done by cleaning your room and removing dust from the parts which you plan on how to go about the process . Cleaning the whole bedroom can be more ideal as dust particles can still fly from one part of the room to another. Don’t let debris spoil your painting job. Be sure to sweep the floors, wipe the walls with semi-wet cloth and remove dirt from your bedroom.

If you are painting the whole room, take out all of your bedroom furniture. You will be able to finish your job without the hassles of bulky furniture in your way. Also, you will be able to protect your furniture items from color splashes. If removing all of your furniture is not possible, just make sure that they are well covered and protected.
Select the color of paint that you wish to use. If you are mixing colors by yourself, you have to decide on which color you want even before you start mixing them.

Next, you should prepare your materials. Your materials will include color and the tools that you will use for applying the color. Decide whether you want to use a paint brush, a roller or a sprayer. A paint brush or a roller can be easy to use. They might be too tiring for some people, though. However, if you know of the right technique in using a paint brush, you can finish the room in a flash. If you have a large brush, hold it with your entire hand. This will allow you to have a firmer grip on the brush handle. If you have a small brush, hold it like you are holding a pen or a pencil. Large brushes are used on large surfaces while the small ones are for intricate painting projects.

If your room is quite big, an airless sprayer can be ideal to use. You may rent an airless sprayer for the day or a couple of days until you finish the task. Listen to the instructions that will be given to you. Safety should be prioritized when using this sprayer. When you are not painting, make sure that you lock the safety. Also, never point the sprayer at a person’s face even if it is locked.

Walls might be the easiest to color. The only challenge with walls is on maintaining the uniformity of the paint. Tight spots can be the most difficult to color. You might need to make use of a small brush to get to those small parts that a roller or a sprayer cannot reach.

Once you are done painting, you have to clean your room. But you may be left with an easier cleaning job if you had implemented some measures before you started painting. Reduce the damage caused by spills and drips by using old newspapers or plastic to cover areas which you do not want to color.
